Major Gayle is the Company Commander for Bravo Company. His commitment to the CICC is unparalleled to none other, as he serves the youths of the Cayman Islands by devoting countless hours to help with their development. He joined the CICC in 2006 after completing his officers’ training course with the Barbados Cadet Corps and was the first officer appointed to lead the Layman E Scott Sr. High School (Formerly Cayman Brac High School).
Major Gayle has served the CICC in many capacities, including; quartermaster, unit commander, and camp commander and also contributed to the CICC’s response team post-Hurricane Paloma restoration in 2008. He coordinated the first camp held on Cayman Brac in 2007 and the CICCs’ Annual Camp in 2021.
He is the recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal, CICC Disaster Mitigation Medal, CICC 10th Anniversary Medal, Commandant’s Award for Outstanding Performance in the Administration of Cadet Corps Training & Management, CICC Special Recognition Award for Volunteer Services, and the Layman E Scott Sr High School Appreciation Award for outstanding contribution to student development through involvement in extra-curricular activities.
Maj Gayle is an educator with a Bachelor of Education in Business and Computer Studies from the University of Technology, Jamaica.
